More than 26,000 children in Washoe County are dealing with hunger and food insecurity. Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada invites the community to help fight hunger by donating new lunch boxes, refillable water bottles or non-perishable food items for local students in need. Donations can be dropped off at any St. Vincent's Thrift store or donation center until July 21. You can also bring donations to center court at Meadowood Mall on July 29 from 1-3 p.m. for a chance to win a $50 gift card to JCPenney. Visit ccsnn.org for more info.
